You can swim in the nearby Öschlesee. From the campsite it is only a walking distance of 250 m. Water-sports enthusiasts like surfers and sailors can pursue their hobby on the Rottachsee, 6 km from the campsite.
The Allgäu isn't short of attractions: for example, 40 km from the site you can see the skijumping arena in Oberstdorf, famous for the Oberstdorf "4-Schanzen-Tournee" ski jumping tournament or visit Neuschwanstein, the castle of the "fairy-tale" king Ludwig II of Bavaria.
The Allgäu offers hikers and nature-lovers a great choice of hiking routes and mountain tours and also the Allgäu alpine upland isn't without its charms at any time of the year.
